Samsung confirms the launch date of the Galaxy S25 Edge

Samsung has now officially confirmed that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be launched on Monday, May 12th at 8PM ET during a virtual Unpacked event. Samsung teased the world’s slimmest smartphone earlier in the year, and we expect the upcoming event to examine questions that have resulted since that announcement.
A recent blog post confirmed the name of the device while giving us an overview of some of its specifications. Samsung described the S25 Edge as a device that not only sets a new benchmark for you can do with your smartphone, but also opens a new chapter of growth for the mobile industry.
A highlight specification is the addition of a 200-megapixel main camera, the same sensor used in the flagship Galaxy S25 Ultra. When viewing the S25 Edge, it appears to provide flagship specifications while also are in a slim profile.

Images shared prior to the event show the phone in profile. The S25 Edge clearly has a super slim and sleek profile making it a potential flagship contender in an emerging category of slim devices.
As the industry continues to face headwinds with declining sales, a flagship device like the S25 Edge could help reignite interest in tech consumers.
We still don’t have full pricing and availability details, but reports indicate the phone may launch in South Korea first. A $50 reservation credit that Samsung offers in the US somewhat implies that consumers in international markets may not be long to wait.
