Taylor Swift Subpoenaed in Blake–Justin Baldoni Legal Battle

Taylor Swift has been subpoenaed to testify in the ongoing legal battle between actress Blake Lively and director Justin Baldoni, centered around the film It Ends With Us. The lawsuit began in December 2024 when Lively accused Baldoni of sexual harassment and unprofessional behavior during the film’s production.
In response, Baldoni filed a $400 million defamation countersuit, alleging that Lively, with the help of her husband Ryan Reynolds and friend Taylor Swift, pressured him into accepting script changes.
Swift’s involvement in the film was limited to licensing her song “My Tears Ricochet” for use in the movie. Her spokesperson criticized the subpoena as an attempt to exploit her fame, emphasizing that Swift had no creative involvement and had never visited the film set.
The legal dispute has drawn in other celebrities as well. Actor Hugh Jackman may also be subpoenaed due to his close association with Reynolds. The trial is scheduled for March 2026 in the US District Court for the Southern District of New York.
