iOS 18.5: Apple Release iOS with Satellite Messaging Support

Apple has officially released iOS 18.5, providing some exciting updates and new features to compatible iPhones. It includes carrier-based satellite messaging which will rollout for iPhone 13 . The update now allows iPhone 13, 13 Mini, 13 Pro, and 13 Pro Max on T-Mobile in the U.S. to experiment with the Starlink-powered satellite messaging – it will be free until July.
Importantly, the support is only for carrier-based satellite, Apple’s Emergency SOS by satellite is still limited to only iPhone 14 and newer.
