The ability to add products up to four years old to your plan if you have this subscription is a major improvement over the 60-day window you have to add AppleCare Plus coverage to a product after you purchase it.
But according to Apple, if you add older devices to the subscription, they must be in a ‘good condition.’ The company will perform diagnostic tests on the device before adding it to your Apple $20 plan.
Additionally, Apple will let you include headphones in its new subscription plan if they are under a year old.
