Brad Pitt’s Return: The F1 Movie Set to Ignite Theaters This June

Hollywood superstar Brad Pitt will take the world by storm in F1 movie, a heart-racing sports drama that will release in theaters worldwide on June 25, 2025, and in North America on June 27.

The film is directed by Joseph Kosinski (Top Gun: Maverick) and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, Pitt, and seven-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton. It is sure to deliver audiences an immersive, real-time feeling of racing.

Pitt plays Sonny Hayes, once an F1 prodigy before a career-ending accident in the 1990’s. Now, decades later, he is pulled back into the cockpit by old teammate Ruben Cervantes (Javier Bardem), now the owner of ailing APXGP team. Hayes is asked to help mentor rookie phenom Joshua Pearce (Damson Idris), but as the season progresses, rivalries become intense, and demons emerge from the past.

Filmmakers shot their film amid real Grand Prix weekends at famous circuits such as Silverstone and Yas Marina, balancing scripted drama and real-life racing on the real-world circuits. This movie also includes a soundtrack that boasts fantastic tracks, including “Drive” by Ed Sheeran, John Mayer and Dave Grohl.

F1 movie will premiere in Abu Dhabi on June 25, with early IMAX “Fan-First Premiere Screenings” offered globally on June 23. Tickets are now on sale for these special events.
