Recently, xAI launched Grok 4, the latest version of its large language model.

A few hours after the xAI debuted, Grok 4, the latest version of the AI model, was released. Elon Musk said that Grok would be available to its customers in new Tesla models.

Controversies surrounding Grok

On Tuesday, xAI removed numerous posts made by Grok on Musk’s social media site X, after the chatbot praised Adolf Hitler, linked Ashkenazi Jewish surnames to “anti-white hate,” and made antisemitic jokes.

The CEO made a statement regarding this controversy and clarified all concerns firsthand. He was aware of the posts and stated that the inappropriate posts would be removed.

xAI also took action to ban any hate speech made by Grok on X. It was assured that only the truth reaches millions of customers and quickly identifying and update would be made in the model, where training could be improved.

This seemed to be like a viral bug in the system, and Elon stated that he would update Grok to “fix” it. This has put a lot of pressure on Musk as he faces immense pressure regarding his Tesla EV giant.

What Is Grok?

Grok was created by xAI back in November 2023. It is an artificial intelligence bot that Musk claims is a far better version of  ChatGPT 3.5 across several levels.

Grok was developed with data from X, since it works on real-time, real-world knowledge and can answer any sparking questions or concerns.

How will Grok work in Tesla?

The makers announced that voice-powered Grok will be enabled on all new Tesla vehicles delivered on or after July 12. It may become available for other vehicles later on. Grok will not require a subscription of its own.
