Indiana Pacers Reach NBA Finals for First Time Since 2000

With a 125–108 victory over the New York Knicks in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals, the Indiana Pacers are headed to the 2025 NBA Finals. This will be the first time the Pacers have played in the Finals since the year 2000 when they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers.

Frontcourt player Pascal Siakam scored 31 points in Game 6 and was voted Eastern Conference Finals MVP. He was able to consistently score and lead the Pacers during the entire series.

Key Contributors for NBA Finals and Team Performance

Tyrese Haliburton did what he has been doing all playoff long by providing a key contribution of 21 points, including 11 in the fourth, in the clinching Game 6. He surely helped secure the series for the Pacers.

Pacers to Face Thunder in NBA Finals

The Pacers will be matching up with the Oklahoma City Thunder in the 2025 NBA Finals starting Thursday night. This matchup is going to be exciting since it features MVP Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Thunder going against Tyrese Haliburton of the Pacers.

Forward Jarace Walker was injured in Game 6 with a right ankle injury and the Pacers are uncertain when he will be able to return as the team is awaiting evaluations.
