PUBG Mobile 3.8 Update: Release Date and New Features

Players around the globe can expect the long awaited PUBG Mobile 3.8 update on May 6, 2025, with a bunch of new content and gameplay updates.

Steampunk Frontier

One of the major new updates in this patch, includes the limited time game mode, Steampunk Frontier. In this mode, players enter a Victorian mechanized world, where they explore new locations, including Aetherholm, a central train station, and the Cargo Hub, a larger zone where players can traverse between train connected zones.

Titan Transformation Mechanic

Another gameplay mechanic includes the ability to drink a Giant Potion to turn to Titans for a limited time. In this form, players are physically growing larger, with added strength, and unique abilities that include increased melee attacks and an ability for players to carry their teammates on their shoulders.

Mobility Improvements

The update also includes Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) gear and grappling hooks, to allow players to zip through buildings and train tracks, or terrine, with increased speed and mobility. It improves every players in-air movement mechanics, providing better strategic options and planning during combat.

Train System Integration

Players can now choose to use the train system as the new map now features moving trains that players can board, loot supply cars, and ambush other players while moving! This means more ways to traverse & combat ideas in the maps.

Team HP Sharing System

Another interesting and welcoming feature is the Team HP Sharing System. The Team HP Sharing System allows teammates to donate a portion of their HP to teammates who are in distress. The Team HP Sharing System opens up many new responses and possibilities for gameplay!

World of Wonder Changes

The World of Wonder (WoW) creative mode receives a huge news update, the addition of mechanical and Godzilla-like assets, alterations to terrains, and new advanced scripting features for players who want to design mini-games! This means a whole lot more tools for players to create and enjoy custom content!

New Skins and Cosmetics

Players can look forward to a range of new cosmetic items, including steampunk-themed outfits, weapon skins with gear animations, and themed backpacks, helmets, and vehicles. These items will be available through lucky draws, crates, or Royale Pass events.
